How to know and evaluate if quality is built into the supply chain, or do inspection and correction occur after the operations are running?

I think that there are measures that can be put into place in order to significantly reduce the chances of suffering poor quality equipment once operation is in effect.

e.g Requesting samples for testing before purchase.

e.g Requesting reviews from prior customers

e.g Using the specifications of your previous equipment as a benchmark
