I think that there are measures that can be put into place in order to significantly reduce the chances of suffering poor quality equipment once operation is in effect.

 

e.g Requesting samples for testing before purchase.

e.g Requesting reviews from prior customers

e.g Using the specifications of your previous equipment as a benchmark
