because the most of engineering companies in the arab country need an experts engineers, and this does not found in the fresh graduates engineers, also the salary of the fresh graduate does not match the salary of the engineer truly.
we can improve the engineers by teaching them and give them the experience in a little time by open sections in companies with very expert engineers to improve the fresh engineers with good money supports.
To answer this I would like to say It s not only that fresh graduates who are seeking jobs in Arab countries that find it difficult in getting an engineering job, but overall in all countries. It becomes difficult, when they dont know how to approach a company or know how to properly apply for a position , or understand what the Employer is looking for in his /her CV.
Few pointers that I think which could work are , when you have no experience and you still want to try sell your CV - try to put all your strengths into your CV, to make it look like you have done something which shows if given an opportunity you can carry out the responsibilities. Most companies that look for a fresher wants to know if he/she could fit or blend into their environment ,without causing them too much to invest in time or training, like someone who is a quick learner or who can adapt to situations and scenarios.
Since your CV is the first point of entry , fill it up wih facts and situations from previous experiences and responsibilities you've faced during projects, college, or even at extra currcular activities. Take the responsibilities you have done and make it look similar to what the company expects you to do for the job to be applied .Eg you have multitasked at some point during your project between researching, finding clients for a company or trying to sell a service.
some cases are when freshers expectations are exceedingly high, it fine to expect but when you get an opportunity and find it not as expected dont get dejected, the first thing is to get a chance to learn and learn you must while working , keep gaining knowledge and look out for opportunities in your job to get diverse experience, this allows you to handle new responsibilites , that would help you climb the next level of your career. It would be a good idea to stay in your first job for a period of a year to two if possible, to be able to present a good profile with stability for your next job.
Contionus Research and updating is required to keep up with the new trends and opportunites available, whether it be you are satisfied with your job or looking for a new one, recruitment sites, job portals, networking in linkedin is a really good chance to find out vacancies and getting in touch directly, also to raise your questions with experienced and people who are looking for candidates.
Arab countries have people looking for jobs comming in from many countries, to keep you up in the top , is to get yourselves prepared , by proper planning and presentation of your profile which speaks for you, a great Heading would do wonders as it is one of the first things a recruiter or employer lets his eyes fall on.Make sure you update your CV frequently as to keep your CV in view.Use technical keywords and jargons to associate yourself with the kind of work you have done, it shows you know your stuff and your CV gets selected if youve applied on job portals , as recruiters use these keywords in thier search for candidates.
I know this was a long one, hope it helps.
I respect all answers ,but i think it's more simple. there's very limited projects and a lot of university give us a lot of unskilled engineers and very law salary if they find which
There can be many reasons behind it. I see the following as the most common reasons:
As the question is answering itself, fresh graduates means they have not any experiences. They are not familiar to the working environment, they are still more student than employee. They may be less confident, confused in their decision if they were right too. And in context of Arabian countries, I think the main problem will be local language, which will be not the mother tongue of foreigner employee even if they learn it too. Similarly, our language will be same for them. However English language is considered as an international language, there may be problem because of accents.
And the only and one thing fresh graduate can improve to make recruiters impress is SKILL. Personal skills like
Computer skill like Microsoft offices, and other applications related to their field. They should be proficient in some of the international languages for better communication skills.
Good question! Sir,job crisis is not only for Graduated Engineers and as well as not only in Gulf regions ...Anyways,some ideas i would like to share all of you to hike the Credentials:
a)First of all the can register their Cv at reliable recruiting consultants.
b)They can go for some additional qualifications e.g. Project Management,if they are in Design profession then for Tekla,CAD,3D Modelling etc.
Else every thing on your efforts and of course luck.
Thanks.
Arab Countries are in search of experienced candidates and there are very few companies, which give preferences to fresher engineers. The companies in arab doesnot take an employee and train them. All they need is a well expereinced person who can take up the job as soon as he enters.
If we will see according to any company then he will prefer an experienced person instead of a fresher one. Actually every company needs a skilled engineer so that he can give efficient use of skill to that company for their progress. if they will choose a fresher one then the company would have to give short term training which is tough for any company. they cant pay him for giving training or anything else.
Most of Arabic Countries have weakness in contracting market , and number of graduated engineers is bigger than market needs .
simple thing , fresh graduated need more experience to deal with expert engineers , they have to accept any offer provided from companies and they should dont care much for salary in the beginning
we can improve them by pushing them to market and let them to live with different experiences and by teaching them how to fighting in the market
It it were a Chinese State Company, it would hire fresh graduates as the Project Manager. In Arab countries minimum number of years experience is required for any job.
