When the soft copy of documents/drawings are kept in Tech. Library/software then is it necessary to also keep the hard copy in Tech. library?

We know that now every organisation is considering paper free offices so is there any requirement to maintain hard copies of drawing and documents also in Technical library.

Hai, Not necessary as per document control standard in IMS only incoming correspondences are soft and hard copies are both filed and electronically saved and outgoing correspondences are keep electronically only so don't worry

I think not necessarily. Its simply because in a user-centric approach, the ultimate aim is to provide that particular info. to the end users in most effective and convenient way. The use of a document management system can do the trick and if you have proper backup plan of the software, u can forget about the hard copy.

Yes. The office documents need to file in hard copy on the project file or job file even was in software due to some audit purpose.

For some instance yes but the main thing is to have a backup files save in your external hard drive for security reason/purposes.
