I would like to hear your opinions on this statement: " Low Credit Card Penetration in the ME can be a real showstopper to E-Commerce in ME"

I am in complete agreement to this statement.
This can be substantiated in the fall of e-comm transactions when the economic turmoil hit business earlier this decade.
The banks slowed down on the issuance of credit card.
But then we also need to answer one question that is if we see the NPA increase due to increased usage of credit card not indirectly hampering any business including e-comm? Next on the showstopper part of the statement yes its definitely a showstopper but then e-comm has now the support of a new mechanism of payment call multi bank EMI.
This is now helping them in at least increase their wallet share within the credit card user community.
