Use Field Calculator option in Attribute Table to give attribute to multiple rows and in ArcGIS 10 we can view multiple attribute table in single window

Open the ArcMAP, Add the GIS Dataset/shape file needs to be updated, set the target layer.

 Start EDIT option, select the required features then open the Attribute editor then Update the attributes all in one time, in multiple fields

Start editing and select the feature class & features you want to edit , open Attribute editor and update the required attributes all in one go for the required multiple fields

Right click and open attribute table of a layer in the table of content. Then add field to add attributes for features. You can view the attribute as well. You can edit the attribute also with edit mode.
