This is not really a question for this forum.   In fact it's not really a question for any forum because there are good articles on terminal velocity on both Wikipedia and Simple English Wikipedia.

Some answers already given may have been plagiarised from Wikipedia. i.e. quoted without giving the reference.

If sphere (any solid substance) is suspended in  fluid, initially sphere is falling with weight and after sometime upward force is balanced by weight. Hence solid starts falling with constant velocity known as terminal. This velocity is determined by Stokes formula in Physics
