Feedback is useful to decide whether to opt General MBA right after Graduation or Take some Industry Experience & then opt for Exe. MBA....
In general you cannot compare an exec. MBA vs a regular one, as they are tottally different in purpose, scope and structure.
A normal MBA is usually addressed to non experienced or low experienced persons, while an exec. MBA is usually addressed to highly experienced proffessionals / managers.
An MBA (exec. or general one) has a better reputation in the market when is acquired by a top institution.
Yes it can be preferable because one experience employee most of think learn during his working period. My opinion is practical always better then theoritical. But when need to make management report ,planning then General MBA is better.
I agree with what SPYRIDON fafoutis has stated. You are comparing apples and oranges here.
1- MBAs are directed to people of the ages 25-32 .. "2-10 years experience"
2-Executive MBA is more toward 8+ years of experience.
This distinction has a lot of value in terms of the weight of the program toward your career.
for example, if you are switching careers then a regular MBA would be optimum since the degree would have better career services support considering the demographic aspect of the class. The classes of the executive MBA tend to be more flexible and have different atmosphere due to the level of experience the students tend to have in those degrees, however, those are already well established people, so the network here have more weight than the career services.
An EMBA or Executive MBA is usually a working professional, someone who can't take off from work for2 years. An MBA is straight out of school. I would prefer both because they both have a unique perspective and can offer their own separate knowledge of the business acumen which is at hand.
I will suggest for executive MBA if you have good job opportunity and always try to attend good institute that can increase your exposure and have good reputation in employers' ranking
Yes. Because it has more focus on implementing your knowledge through case studies.
