As an arabic language translator, there is no specific language, but each language has its own difficulties and some words may not be translated.

Examples for that:

1. Jayus (Indonesian): a joke so poorly told and so unfunny that one cannot help but laugh.

2. Kyoikumama (Japanese) : A mother who relentlessly pushes her children toward academic achievement.

3. Tartle ( Scottish) : the act of hesitating while introducing someone because you have forgotten his/her name.

It depends on the the text and experience of the translator as it becomes easier for him with time, but, generally speaking, most of Arabic translators find that to translate from English to Arabic is easier.

As a linguist I think that Chinese language is more difficult than other languages in translation, but generally that translation techniques are the same in all languages. like linguistic techniques, Terminology and lexicography, research tools for translators...etc

Actually, there is no thing called a difficult text. Once I know the context of the text and the message that the text is delivering, then I will be able to translate it into Arabic, trying to be as close to the meaning of the original text as I can. I don't have to translate it word by word. Just to create clear sentences, using the right words and correct grammar.

Cantonese, Hungarian, Finnish and Navajo. English isn't easy to translate, technically, but due to the common use in translations, it is definitely an automated mechanic method now.

I am told that Chinese and other east asian languages are hard to learn. However, I am positive that learning a language maybe difficult but not impossible. I think it only takes courage to try and give it a go.
