To have a significant online presence is currently one of the best ways of reaching a larger readership. Start sharing your writing with your friends an acquaintances............If they like what you write, request them to share your writings with them. Ask for honest feedback. Once you are in the writing and feedback loop, you can then venture to go public thru a blog. But in each case you have to let people know you are into writing.
