in any size advertising company the interviewing for a graphic designer is based on a main core understanding. will the candidate understand and differentiates the concept given by the Art director and the briefing of the account manager???

the second crucial point is how much the designer is aware of the brand and what it represents "brand placement, loyalty, and position in the market toward the consumer" it is there where the theory can shed a light on how much the designer is capable of building his design to match the essential elements

I am assuming you are looking for a career as a graphic designer. Why would you want to join a large advertising agency ? Any specific reasons ? Most people believe that working in a large company may provide them safety but it also comes with stress due to rampant politics in such organisation. You may want to interview people working in such organisations to understand if this job is for you ? I am writing an article about the right way to select a career, i can share it with you if you like to read.

Ideally, you may want to get an opportunity to talk to the marketing head or your future boss. This can happen in many ways not necessarily for a job. If your only objective is to get a job, you are most likely to be dissapointed. Go with an open mind to gather information and learn about the organisation, you will suprised by the amount the information you can get this way.

Here are divided corresponding to the two parts, the first oral interview about his appearance and tact, experience and personality and the second process for the design and skills required for practical and creative ideas because of this work requires creativity and imagination in the first place where the rapid design of a product similar to the experience, because the big companies need challenge and competition and innovation, especially in the person of the designer

Basically it depends upon the interviewer at that point... things that matter most are confidence & communication level...skills come after it.... what I know from my experience, agency mostly like to see coming candidates as brands and expects that one will impress them...

So before going for interview, search about the agency well like its accounts (companies associated with it), details about awards they may have won etc.... in the end... just do your best....
