From your point of view what is the best way to calculate operation process reliability? Is it Process reliability Loss tree (PR) or Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)?

OEE is the best way to calculate operation process reliability.  

As it include Availability, performance and Quality of the product being produced. 

OEE = Availability x Performance x Quality

OEE is the best way to calculate process reliability which concern with Availability*performance*Quality. so that it can provide a more elaborate indication for reliability of a process.

Both of PR loss tree & OEE are very effective tools.

Process Releibility Loss tree is the best way to calculate opeartion Process reliability. Stuff produced share to stuff can be prodused.  

The best way method to calculate the process/machine reliability is reliability loss tree. Addressing each down time cause is important. Following are some suggestions. 

1- Run machine/equipment/process at peak speed and monitor/records stoppages.

2- Categories each downtown desperately (Due to machine/process/materials/method etc)

OEE is measure of equipment efficiency and this indicator alone can not  show the other breakdowns/downs (Process/materials/method/planing)
