To maintain the inward & outward flow of material with proper documentation. Keep an organized allocation of stuff placed in warehouse/store.
These things are important for efficient flow of material & information.
Store keeper is the important person for the store. He is the in charge of the store department and also responsible for store control. The primary duties of the store keeper is various and varied according to the organization structure. A store keeper is being the head of a store dept. He is entrusted the following duties & responsibility.Receiving material,Arranging materials,Preservation of the material, Recording, Issue of material, Issuing purchasing requisition, Supervision.
The Responsibilities of a good storekeeper are below:
(1) Lead the team for effective management of store operation in receiving, inspection, storage, issuance & transfer of items as per company policy.
(2) To follow-up overall inventory management.
(3) Taking physical inventory once a month to cross check with the monthly inventory report.
( 4) Materials receiving and prepared MRR Bin card, SIV issue & reporting of stock. Ensure development and management of materials planning functions, Create item specific forecasts over a lead-time to be used for effective and efficient inventory management
(5)Ensure indents are raised & proper documentation is completed on a timely basis for requisition of items; Responsible for store keeping, documentation & record keeping.
(6) Forward required documentation to corporate or unit purchase depending on the nature of item to be procured;
(7) Generate Materials Received Report (MRR) on a timely basis. Input production data according to purchase order in computerized inventory system. Participate in physical inventories by counting stocks.
(8) Knowledge in various types of commercial activities such as inducting procurement, export-import, banking and L/C.
(9) Correspondence with Foreign Suppliers via E-mail, usage of Internet.
(10) International & Local Procurement Process for Raw Materials.
(11) Sourcing of new suppliers & sampling, testing and approval for new development
(12)To ensure goods keep by first in first out method (FIFO).
(13) To ensure recording of the necessary data in ledger and computer on time.
(14) Oversee the transportation of goods from production site to consumer to client
(15) Develop and implement a logistics process
(16) Proper goods distribution/supply chain maintain and follow up.
(17) Goods delivery schedule maintain according to delivery order qty.

Store Kepper is the key person for the Store. A good store keeper controll the store team in a effective manner for the smooth operation of store and other related departments . A store keeper manage the inwrad & out ward materials and manitaian it in to the proper bin location . A store keeper leads his team to handle the store & store items keep without loss & damage. Store keeper ensure that each and every items issue to production department through proper documnets .
