As a Strategic Alliances Specialist apart from increasing long-term revenue, where else we can contribute monetarily directly or indirectly?

We really focus on monetary returns which is an essence....

But is we really bringing a value addition always?

Strategic alliances are about much more than revenue.   Of course that is important, but a good strategic alliance is about establishing strong relationships.  This allows the parties to:

- make long term plans for developing new products and processes

- learn about changes in the market from each other

- anticipate market trends better

- withstand shocks

- cross-train staff in the hope of finding hidden synergies

- create [legitimate] barriers to entry to new market players

- coordinate their development (e.g. location of new premises) to create efficiencies

- provide better career opportunities for their staff
