Most of Process Engineers have Chemical Engineering degree in oil and gas, manufacturing and industrial industry. The knowledge of changing the chemical composition of one compound to another is a process. Application of heat, pressure or mechanical mean in a vessel required engineering skill chemically or mechanically.

I think chemical engineering students will definitely have good opportunities in various levels of positions  in OPE industries as they are related to chemistry and carbon compounds. Thanks.

Well, there are certain new opportunities and  it is better to follow with Oil&Gas and Petrochemical Recruitment job portals across the Globe, they know it well and they have its feasibility study too, to know more better in the market situation.

Oil price goes down may be another barrier in new recruitment of such positions.  esp, Middle East market is very slow and some of the major projects are stopped.
