What's the difference between Remote Application and Remote desktop ?

remote desktop :- you can remote the PC and control and access all programs and resources without enable the other user in the other side watching (seeing) the screen or what you do.

Remote application :- it's like the remote desktop with  enable the other user in the other side watching  what you do and also you can give him permission to share control or not
