Hi think NEEDS are the fuel of DEMAND. So without needs no demand exist. Well, marketers must be able to let grow the needs we have and must be able to create new needs which coming from the civilization development. ...Regards

This is a good question.

In my opinion, marketeers don´t create "needs". The "needs" are already present in any person, being a consumer or not. For the marketeer the only things that he/she as to accomplish is offer the product/service for the correct "need", in the correct moment and with the correct specifications.

If the marketeer creates "demands"=? ...Yes, positively they do. The advertising , for example, is a mechanism that they appeal for the consuming and where the consumer feel´s attached for those values that will satisfy his/her needs.

Thanks for invitation,

My opinion ,that marketers who create the demands , and needs already available inside customers, but need direction and enlightenment  which comes from marketing stuffs.
