What I understand is: A LAN is connecting two or more computers to form a cable network between them. A WAN is connecting two or more computers over a broad area to form a cable network between them.
LAN Didn't need routing device to transfere data and it is a segment of the network
WAN need routing DEVICE TO TRANSFERE DATA among networks sements
LAN(Local Area Network): Bounded to a small Geographical area like within a building , home or office. For example computer labs.
WAN(Wide Area Network):- Not bounded to any geographical area.It spread around whole world.Internet is the most common example of WAN.
A LAN (local area network) is a group of computers and network devices connected together, usually within the same building
A WAN (wide area network), in comparison to a MAN, is not restricted to a geographical location, although it might be confined within the bounds of a state or country.
LAN is used for small area and WAN is used for large area,
previous answers are well.......but i think that WAN is starts from the point where public IP is assigned to a network interface.
while LAN contains one or more private IP subnetes that are not routable outside directly.
it should be noted that although two or more separate IP networks may exist in a single LAN and may use router to allow communication within the network. That still remains a LAN.
LAN stands for Local Area Network
Small Network that cover a building.
Wan Stands for Wide Area Network
Its a combination of two or more LAN
LAN : LAN means Local Area Network, it cover a single room/rooms a building or a school/ college/university building.mean it work in limited area.
WAN: Wide Area Network cover a city/country or a continent. Internet is the best example of WAN.
Lan is local area network and it's a network for small area like a company.
Wan is wide area network ans it's usually used to connect LANS to each other like the internet
