For anything basic ,I recommend Larousse gastronomique.you can get all answer , it is considered as bible to us .

i don't have any idea abou the books for me base for my experience it's better experience than the book. because even you have knowledge. the experience is good if you are a chef that's my opinion

For my opinion, kindly search Coolinarika.com different variety of healthy foods to served for kids. I always search in this site when i prepared food, dessert, bread and bake. So delicious and healthy.
