Research on the product. Be knowledable about the market prices & competition. Comprise a WTP. Know your position in the negotiation. It always helps to know someone in that market from your network that can fill in the blanks for you. Its buisness, nothing personal.

Simple don't get rushed or tricked.

1. The effect of all sales tricks reduces with time. So take your time.

2. Verify all details you have got from the sales person by some other means.Like for mobiles and electronics check reviews and negative feedbacks online.

3. Check price online or Get an alternate offer.

The simpliest method is to give yourself room to review and move if you feel there is the potential to be out played. The simpliest way is to say " i will have to get approval from my boss" this gives you room to move and review, rearm etc. Dont ever have to boss in the room and dont let the boss negotiate. Once he has agreed to a proposal there is little room to change (subject to the agreement).

Either get the knowlede of the product to talk with sales representative or after talking to sales representative search for detail information of the product and make reprentative feel of your intelligence.

You have to always be prepared and understand the person you are dealing with as well for their company.  Too much home work will make you in a better position.

Hello, I'll try to help through these steps:1) focus on your requirements, weather it is a product or a whole deal this will prevent the representative from selling you things you don't need2) gather as much info as possible on your representative and his company.3) try to get access to historical deals , this will help you determine potential sales representative, and also build experience on how successful deals was completed.4)a good market analysis will also help you choosing the representative Finally, I advise you to always be as much professional as you can never take things personal , take it easy , even if you don't feel too much satisfied on a deal, no doubt the next deal is gonna be better, cuz it is all build on experience. Imagine your self doing shopping to an item for your home and you are buying for the first time , it might not be that good but sure it will be the next time

Hello i will try to give you some tips which might help you in dealing with a sales representative.

no1 try and get as much information as much you can about product .

no2 ask as many questions as many you can think of.

no3 Ask him to provide you some references about product and about him integrity .

no4 cross question him as on what information you got of him.

no 5 do comparison of cross questioning ,

n06 try and repeat questions just to get truth out .

lastly there is no way of escaping if someone is set to scam you,but these trees will definitely help you.
