emotional inteligent is simply a mental state of awareness or alertness about how people feels while empathy is jst the act of puting urself in peoples shoe i.e making urself to feel exactly the way people feel. i believe if a customer service personnel can understand the feelings of his/her client and the sametime feel jst exactly the way they feel.Hence, this will lead to better human relation skills, which is a pre-requisit for better customer service delivery.
