I left my job at a big audit firm to move to a hospital thinking that I will grow but it worked against my plan...now I want to go back to auditing. What can I do?

well you need to understand the scope of work at the hospital, it is a very large and don't underestimate it especially if it is a big hospital, you will be involved in all kind of accounting, then decide to stay or find a gob in auditing field
