AS PER THE MPC ALL THE MATERIALS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AS PER THE GIVEN MPC AS PER THE PRODUCTION PLANING IF ANY THING IS SHORT FALLEN IT HAS TO PROCURED IN THE SPECIFIED TIME WITH OUT INTERUPTING THE MPC SOME TIME ALL THE MATERIAL WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE WITH THE SUPPLIERS AND SOME MATERIAL SHORTAGE WILL BE THERE AND IT IS BETTER ALWAYS YOU HAVE TO MAINTAIN SOME STOCKS AND BASED ON THE MOVEMENT OF MATERIAL YOU HAVE TO GO FOR REORDER LEVEL AND ALWAYS MONITOR THE STOCKS
Basic objective of MPC must be un-interrupted supply of spares and consumables to the plant in order to avoid Plant brake down / stoppage due to non-availability of planned spares. Spares may go down to zero due to abnormal consumption, un-appropriate consumption pattern provided by end user, and purchase failure due improper lead time. To design proper MPC, we must have proper consumption patter, lead time, proper safety stocks for foreign material, designing must be under ABC analysis in order to provide smooth supply of material to the manufacturing units.
