Most employers post jobs for Marketing profiles but the JD turns out to be a sales job. Some companies (not recruiters) dont know the difference here.

This usually happens with companies who have the operations or their sales team doing the recruitment.

Marketing is quite different from sales and recruiters doing so are losing their rapport in eyes of candidates. Marketing is planning and initiation of strategies and sales is the execution of plans and strategies to achieve the target. Its like bound with each other and losing of one is failure to achieve the target. Recruiter be alert, after all you as an individual is BRAND!!!

Sales is a part of marketing. Planing and stratigies are marketing while practical implimentation of these stratigies and plans is called sales.
