How to deal with applicants having many questions about the company aside from the position he(she) is applying for during first interview?

From my own perspective, I find it a good thing when an applicant asks about the company which means she/he must be really interested joining the firm. It implies that she/he also cares on both the workplace and the job itself. That's why they are given a chance to ask questions so they have the privilege to get information about the company. And that's the purpose of initial interview, to get to know the company and the job as well to give the applicants enough time if they want to pursue the application further.

As a recruiter you should briefly answer their questions, and advise them to contact a certain department or to visit the web for more details !
