Activities that are directly related to the main objectives are the one which falls under the main revenue generating activities, which is also known as a principal revenue generating activities. For example, for company having main objective as trading, income earned from the sale of goods is the main operating activities and where as other income like interest income earned on bank deposit, gain on sale of Fixed Assets are other income and does not fall under main operating activities.
