Every device connected to the  addressable system has its own unique address.when a fire is detected the device address shows up on the control panel, telling you exactly which device has been activated.this will enable to find the exact location of the fire.

In conventional system devices are connected via zones thereby we can get only general idea of  where the fire is occurred.we can not get the exact location.

The conventional fire alarm system is an early warning system design for small facilities. These fire alarm systems are inexpensive but sometimes it can be challenging locating the alarms.

Example: if a conventional fire alarm detects a fire, it may tell you the zone/ area of the fire but not the exact location of the fire. There’s no design where a specific fire alarm can signal exactly where the fire is occurring.

f you feel safer having a fire alarm system that tells you on the spot where a fire is present, you should go for an addressable fire alarm system. The addressable fire alarm system is an early warning system designed tolocate precisely where a fire is occurring.

The biggest different between conventional and addressable fire alarms is scale. Conventional fire alarms are ideal for small buildings, such as individual offices or retail shops. They go off individually when they detect smoke or heat and will help everyone escape from your building safely and quickly.

Addressable fire alarms are a necessity for large building complexes or campuses. Addressable fire alarm systems can be customized in a variety of ways, including:

  • Different devices having different alarm thresholds based on their location
  • An enunciator panel in the front of your building to show exactly which devices or zones are alarming
  • Scalable networks that allow you to add zones with ease

Addressable fire alarm systems are typically more expensive than conventional alarms, but the extra information they provide to firefighters and building managers is invaluable.

Conventional fire alarm is less effective, it is only for small area, it cannot shows the location of fire in building it has different Zones. it is less expensive, you can use it only in a small warehouse and shops,

While Addressable system is more effective, it indicates the fire location, it has different loops, were you can adjust a lots of fire alarms, like SD,HD,Bell,Break Glass, it is expensive and use widely.
