It is possible, the moment the fresh graduate is well analysed and put trough specific tests to test the personality, IQ, pro activeness, patience and people skills.
Customer service is about personality, how you are smart and how you use your patience & diplomacy to deal with people.
Also about how to analyse and think fast for any problem solving.
If the fresh graduate has the below skills which normally comes within ownself, he/she could be a potential for that position.
For the rest, the business owner can invest for some initiation trainings for a starters: Patience People skills Confident personality Loyal Reliable Time management skills Passionate Critical and analythical thinker Negociation skills Diplomacy Self motivated Everybody has to start off somewhere right? :-)

Good customer service skills are a vital part of your job description, no matter if your job title is cashier or CEO.
However, not everyone knows what it takes to provide good customer service.
Each company has its own set of rules and best practices, but some aspects of good customer service remain the same no matter the industry

On entry level or probationary basis yes, provided the candidate looks trainable and demonstrates qualities that seem to be a good fit for the particular role.
Lack of experience doesn't necessarily equate to lack of competence.

New graduates will bring high energy that may re-energize a lackluster work group.
However, expect them to make mistakes, mistakes in handling customers and staff because regardless of their degree there is no substitute for dealing withe the muititude of issues with these two groups will pose.
