We do not use "many" before "information" because "information" is uncountable. However, you can use "much", or "a lot of" instead.
Information is an uncountable noun that has no plural. Many is used with plural nouns; information can not be in plural, and so we can not use many with information. Instead, we can use "some" before information as a determiner to express quantity i.e. I have received some information about the accident.
