I think I am comfortable with both. But creative translation is more interesting
As a journalist who has got an experience not only in writing but also translating , I think that creative texts are harder to be translated than technical texts. I say harder because creative texts contain more metaphorics that needs to be translated in a very attractive and smart method, using accurate technique language to deliver high quality translation.
the hard thing is to get what is between the words so the creative one is harder specially for the technical minds
technical and medical texts
I think scientific translation like medicine or medical reports is the hardest because they have so many abbreviations that took a lot of time and effort.
Definitely creative type of texts! We use the expression "Lost in translation" for a good reason; some words or phrases can never be translated to mean exactly the same in a another language.
The technical type of texts are harder to translate
Technical texts take more time to be translated.
I,m an engineer and i,m familiar with technology, chemistry, phisics and etch. So it should be a bit hard for me to translate sociological and medical texts may be.
technical translation is the hardest..
