It is always an advantage to add other languages. For Arabic: 1- You will have the opportunity to practice writing from right to left side, a thing which complies with the nature of doing things.2- If you are a Muslim you will benefit a lot by reading and understanding Qura'n and Haddeth. 3- If not, you will have a better opportunity to embrace Islam because you will have access to understanding Islam. 4- You will have the opportunity to interact with the Arab community, embassies, and internet.

Depending on where you work, Arabic can be one of the first languages. In the middle east for example, it is almost a must to speak Arabic, or at least to understand it. Anyway, being able to communicate in another language is always something good.
