First off all we have to conform that is LAN card show connected Or cross sign.if cross sigh then possible wire damaged ,unplugged,wrong connection and drive also not installed .if the LAN card shows connectivity But not able to obtain an IP from server Then first we should see our LAN card Ip configuration it should be set on automatically obtaining ip .if we know knows ip of our WiFi dHcp server that we have manually assign according same pattern.
initially go to wireless adapter from network location then right click - dignose. if problem persist, check the wireless adapter settings and make sure TPCP/IP is set as dynamic and NOT static. but for some cases if the router dhcp configuration is disabled, then we need to set a static IP for the machine that is trying to connect to it.
