Nuclear power plant generat the power by nuclear fussion.

Nuclear power plant works on the principle of " control chain Reaction", here the slow neutrons are bombarded on radioactive elements like uranium(U) or plutonium(Pu) and fission reaction occurs and along with this reaction heat is produce. This heat is used to make steam from water and hence steam is used to run the turbine to produce Electricity.

1 kg of uranium can produce as much heat as produce by4500 tonned of high grade coal.
