I am not expert in this field. But in my humble opinion, people are already quite connected. They are already watching English TV Series and Movies, so the impact on the cultural and social life will not be distinguishable. In the future we may run into a problem where it will be quite hard to find a unique aspect or unique cultural point for a society. Abaya's are getting modernized and we have designers Head Scarfs, so I think things will progress but we might lose the taste of uniqueness.

the turkish series  are far from the reality and from the ethics of the sociaty, specially from the islamic culture and ethics. This series just killing the moral of our kids and womans. Could be never been a good Picture. As I am living in Germany and with origin german/turc I refuse to watch turkish series....as Diaddin Mahmoud and Hassan İdami says, sex, drugs etc...is wasting time to watch this series...! there is no culture, no education on this series...in western countries we are never watching such as primitive series...!!! therefore, this also was killing turkish culture and ethics...!!! what is served with this series also never matching wıth the real life in Turkey...!!!

A lot of researchers (including me) have been studying the impact and effects of drama on human behavior and life, and the studies showed different types of results, but the most of studies have proved that drama effect very wide on them, because drama which actually emerged in the 1990s and has been characterized by high-quality aesthetics, a contemporary music soundtrack and a focus on various contemporary issues: sexuality, relationships and drug use...elt.

And the future of the community could change by its members, the drama showes diffrent type of culture and its not all suitable with our (good) customs and traditions, so it could effect very bad on the society.

Waste of time. That's how I see those people watching these series.

I see no legit for Turkish series on Arabic world.

Recently, using all better cameras and selecting the most good-looking boys and girls, and props, the eyes that have no clue, they are shiny glitters. otherwise a waste of time full of repetitive and stereotypical Turkish social cliche of bile, anger, jealousy, drug, gang ...  and social ghetto and bemoaning love stories. it is a more pity if you let the eyes and minds of your daughters and sons get junked by such junkie hijack...

Thank you for the invitation Serials generally shroud good representative of Turkey , and won many in the Arab world so impressive that many conservatives are on the watch time but from the negatives in Alambagh serial events as the writer and director Ohiaa exaggerating the role of some of the characters

Thank you for this question Dua'a!

I had taken history of arts during my B.Sc but I feel very few people choose such electives for their higher studies nowadays. Hence a lot of important historical events are in jeopardy of being forgotten.

I'm for cross cultural soaps and TV series, especially Turkish historical drama series like “Hareem Al Sultan'' which was a wonderful glimpse of the Turkish history.

We live in an age where books aren't the primary source of learning, and TV is an easier mode of enriching our lives with history, arts and culture.
