Incrementally!

Since there's been an entire platform shift, people generally shy away from making physical brochures unless it's at an exhibition. Most people prefer to save paper and see the same information online, via apps or social media forums.

The next new wave is predicted to be augmented reality, so you might see some paper/physical material usage in collaboration with technology:

it did some impact but not as expected, especially in MENA, we still have old school people who still believe in physical contact with products and related items. (I know of some people, it blew their heads when I told them you can buy stuff without leaving the house), and some of these old school people own a lot of money and you want to conduct business with them, so you still need brochures for them.

Hi Zain : I echo Sidrah comments with the following 2 cents form my side.

In B2B marketing once you are in Scientific business it is still very important to have marketing collateral in hard copy as it is required for review and the most touch and feel experience.

Hi

I guess you are talking about The (Printed) brochure popularity

sure digital marketing offers many easy and low cost options that encouraged all business owners and marketing managers to reduce the budget of printed marketing tools and transfer it to a digital copy

it's all about the cost and target audiences

Thank you

I think digital marketing is more efficient and cost effective than brochure. In this digital advanced world , people are very much interested in online media.

Another fact is usage of social networking sites. social networking sites has very significant role in digital marketing. Now it is very hard to find a website without link of social network sites.

Next factor is in digital marketing , we can use videos !!! which can not possible in brochure. I think that is the disadvantage in brochure. This might cause the decline of brochure usage.

But still , brochures are used to make awareness about the brand in limited manner.

for example: Opening of hotel/cafeteria. They use brochures to promote their brand, what are the special dishes, home delivery etc. OR a hypermarket provides special discounts for all the products , then it is the best way to create brochure and distribute to the people.

These are all the first thing came in my mind when i read your question.

The digitalization of information has diminished the popularity and usage of brochures because people now are able to find and/or receive information nearly everywhere in a quick manner. The appearance of mobile technologies such as smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, etc. has accelerated this trend since nowadays they have become more accessible to people price wise. Nonetheless, brochures still have their own added-value in some industries since digital media cannot replace things like feeling textures or smelling aromas. I think it is up to every company to evaluate their customers preference for only digital media or a combination of the latter one and print.

I should say brochure is not dead  but after the comming of social network platforms due to its low cost and low time consuming  more people often choose digital marketing. But some people still choose brochure   for their buissness references.

Digital media does seem to have had an impact on the modern world, both affecting the online world and the offline business sectors.

However, many people who have grown up reading printed material feel that their reading is more effective and easier to use if they read from paper rather from a screen, which explains the fact that it has not sunk out of our society completely.

But, the read availability, convenience and price of digital media means that it may soon replace print media permanently.

Thank You for the invitation ... I would agree with answers that really covered your question !

Briefly , such impact rely on:

1. People preferences and cultures.

2. Market competitions

3. Type of products

4. Availability of technology and internet !
