Is Marketing and advertising the two sides of the same coin? Explain.

No. Advertising is just a subset of Marketing. According to me, Marketing is like an ocean and one of the layer in the ocean (marketing) is Advertising. The other layers are product pricing, distribution, sales strategies, customer retention, community development, public relations and market research.

To keep in concise, I can go with: marketing and sustainability. These two are the two sides of the same coin. And in current scenario, we need to work on creative advertising, branding to build a sustainable position.

I don't think so. On my opinion Advertising is one of the bullets of Marketing. Both are two different topics in its own but categorically Advertising comes under the huge box of marketing. They are not two sides of same coins but a same coins with a different denomination of a same country.

Yes. Advertising takes one side of the coin, in which we expose the brand to the market. On the other side, lies marketing. It enhances the image of the brand whether it was a product or a service.
