Risk management plays a key role in the success of ones decision. Before acting you make a plan/design/idea for which you have to make a backup plan or ''plan B'' and this is your risk management. If plan A fails, there might be a chance in plan B. Risk management is helpful in every discipline.

As an environmental engineer, risk evaluation & risk management is very important. In today's world, on the basis of risk evaluation the fate of the project is decided. 

 

If less risk to environrmt is involved then the project is pursued otherwise we have to look for an alternative.
