Thanks for inivitation .sedimentry rocks formed by weathering .transportation in the surface of the earth &by heat and pressure inside the earth.
sedimentary rocks formed due to weathering and erosion of sediments and these loose sediments deposited in river and due to consolidated , compacted and cemented it becomes sedimentary rocks like limestone, calcite
These kind of rocks formed by weathering and sediments erosion. So, loose sediments deposited in rivers and by consolidating, compacting and cementing these rocks created such as limestone
Weathering, Transportation and Deposition and Lithification
Processes that take place at the surface of the Earth include weathering, transportation and deposition, as well as biological processes such as the growth of some of the animals and their shells or skeletons, ch form parts of sedimentary rocks.
Inside the Earth, processes include burial and subsidence, which may lead to metamorphism as pressure and heat builds up, and then potentially to melting and the first step to forming the next igneous rock
An igneous rock is weathered and eroded, the bits are transported somewhere where they build up to form sediments. These undergo burial and are compacted to form a sedimentary rock.
The sedimentary rock is heated during deep burial. The heat and pressure may first form a metamorphic rock, but this may never see the surface of the earth before it is melted to form a magma – hot liquid rock.
The magma rises up and cools, forming a new igneous rock and the cycle starts again.
Erosion by weathering factors , transportation by water, winds or movements, then accumulation.
Sedimentary rocks are types of rock that are formed by the deposition and subsequent cementation of that material at the Earth's surface and within bodies of water.
due to lithification of sediments of igneous or metamorphic rocks
sedimentary rock are formed through the deposition and lithification of sediment, especially sediment transported by water (rivers, lakes, and oceans), ice (glaciers), and wind.
simply by sedimentation, loose sediments form by erosion, consolidated, cemented, compacted, after burial result sedimentary rock
Sedimentary rocks are rocks derived from pre-existing rocks such igneous rocks or metamorphic rocks. They are produced when the afore-mentioned pre-existing rocks are eroded into tiny bits or particles(by agents of erosion such as water, air or aeolian) called sediments, and these sediments are either transported to new locations or buried in-situ(at the same location). These sediments pile up on top of each other in a process known as compaction, and are subsequently buried even to deeper layers within the earth's crust. After millions of years this huge pile of buried sediments gives rise to sedimentary rocks, in fact large sedimentary basins are formed such as the Niger-Delta in Niger and the Gulf of Mexico in the United States of America. Incidentally large deposits of hydrocarbons are found in these sedimentary basins, some of which straddle the Middle-east.
