Laissez-faire  is When the leaders are hands-off and allow group members to make the decisions and it is characterized by :

Laissez-faire leadership:

·         Very little guidance from leaders

·         Complete freedom for followers to make decisions

·         Leaders provide the tools and resources needed

·         Group members are expected to solve problems on their own

·         Power is handed over to followers, yet leaders still take responsibility for the groups decisions and actions.

The laissez-faire leadership style is where all the rights and power to make decisions is fully given to the worker. This was first described by Lewin, Lippitt, and White in 1938, along with the autocratic leadership and the democratic leadership styles. it is also knows as "A non-authoritarian Leadership style.

A non-authoritarian leadership style. Laissez faire leaders try to give the least possible guidance to subordinates, and try to achieve control through less obvious means. They believe that people excel when they are left alone to respond to their responsibilities and obligations in their own ways.
