What are the best methods to raise my child without raising my voice?

• Motivate your kids to get their school assignment done without all the ulcet causing, blood pressure raising panic
• Teach them to cope with disappointment,fear and jealousy
• Resolve your own feelings of anxiety, inadequacy and despair
• Foster a family wide atmosphere of co- operation,closeness,love and respect.

It starts early, I have4 children , the eldest son years old , the youngest7 years old . If they won't listen to me! All I can do is threaten to leave without them,that usually works wonders with my7 yr old, but probably won't work with a wiser yr old and my yr old doesn't care!

I'd suggest, one request, one command with a threat (a favourite toy will be taken away, no dessert after dinner tonight, no trip to the playground this weekend, etc), and if you have to say it again, follow through. After a couple of toys have been confiscated and a couple of desserts left in the fridge, they'll get the idea .
