The Easier Formula To Use Is vlookup()
But Based on the Efficiency index() formula is the winner as it's works in both direction as mentioned and i read a study some where that it's faster than vlookup()
index function bestBecauseFunction Vlookup working from right to left in Arabic and vice foreign language
Index function, because its simple as = index:(select all tables, no of rows, no of columns),
try this.
Vlookup is easy and well known globely
There are two aspects connected to this question and depends on what output we need. If the data is small then VLOOKUP is very much faster as it is easy to use even for a beginner.
I prefer to use combination of Index & Match over vlookup as we can work left & right, moreover it does not hang when working on sheet with more than 50k line items.
But Vlookup is easier to use.
I think that The vlookup is the best to compare
VLOOKUP ( ) formula is most useful and faster function in excel.
i regularly used the VLOOKUP () formula as this is much useful to me in any other reports.
