Depending on the industry in which the job you are looking for. Generally you need to answer situation questions that does not have correct or wrong answer but depends mostly on the application of previous education and training. You also need to have a plan for a new product or idea for the business you are applying to work in.
I once read somewhere that an interviewer is more interested in how interview questions are answered rather than the content itself. The interviewer wants to see that the prospective employee has confidence, ambition, and passion for what he/she is being asked to do.
It is also helpful to point out how some seemly unrelated experience could by association be invaluable for the position that you are applying for. It could reveal attributes such as people skills, organizational prowess, or detail specific.
Also, think about this: How can you summarize yourself in three words? Surprise the interviewer with a positive, self-assured image of who you are and s/he just might be impressed enough to hire you :)
