Follow your passion means that you have something in mind & then go about trying to achieve it. Once this is done then you may or may not want to review it & then go ahead or otherwise. It has a limited aim. It may or may not necessarily lead to a success in life.
However cultivate means you are steadily building your passion for a particular role in life for which you will have to set long term & short term objectives & achieve them one by one. this will also entail new learning initiatives & gaining more experience. This will ensure a more steady path towards success.
