I don't know exactly what is the form of education in your country. But for me, based in my country if I want a degree, I will go with the Degree of Electronics and Communication Engineer (E.C.E). Because you already taken a diploma of electronics. So go with that E.C.E. As an average student it will fits you. Anyway, there is no such thing as an average or above average student. As long as you study hard, have strong determination and you will succeed.
As per my knowledge, Instrumentation will be suitable for you.
All the best.
