That is a good chance to tell why people wanted to be a salesperson when they grew up. It’s not often a job people spend their lives aspiring to but if you’re considering a new career path, it might be time to reconsider. You can ask salespeople from account executives all the way to a vice president of sales get their take on what the job is really like, and why you might want to start browsing sales jobs today.
One perspective “Unfortunately, I think people stay away from sales because they think of the ‘pushy car salesperson,”’ Sarah Ionescu, VP of Sales at eMarketer.
This is a huge misconception about sales people, then lets explain what I believe in………………..
On the contrary, sales is a rewarding career that’s great for all kinds of people, from entry-level employees not quite sure of their long-term direction to people looking for a career change later in life. Not only can you thrive in sales with any background, it’s a fantastic launching pad for the rest of your career. You’ll learn highly transferrable skills, experience the thrill of helping people, and get the opportunity to act like your own boss. Plus, it’s one of the “Hottest Predicted Fields of 2016”—meaning there are plenty of job openings waiting for people like you to fill them.
“Sales is an integral part of every business on this planet,” like so many other companies‚ is hiring for tons of sales roles.
“Salespeople are the revenue generators of a company—we bring the money in that funds every other part of the business. It’s a very important role, and if you can be successful in sales, then you have valuable and coveted skills that you can bring to any company in any industry.
My first conception : best salespeople often don't come from sales, life example in Pfizer Pharma plc. one of top sellers or senior sales representatives used to work in consulting and executives worked with her to develop a few sales tactics, but she already excelled at listening, giving thoughtful recommendations, and thinking intelligently.” So in sales person you just want to be interested in conversing with people and trying to understand business.
Second: Sales gives you many transferrable skills and insights into the business world, making it a fantastic job if you’re still not sure what you want to do with the rest of your life. Working in sales teaches you a lot how businesses operate, how they make money, how decisions are made, how to communicate, how to negotiate, how to get things done.
Third : communication as one of the top transferrable skills I have gained from my experience as sales and marketing position , you know I have to think of ways to explain a product or service that makes it as simple and appealing as possible, in a way that will make the most sense to whoever I’m speaking with, adds problem solving and perseverance to the list, more often than not, I get pushback from people on why they’re unable to or don’t want to purchase medical product, this was a problem, and a big part of the sales process is thinking of creative ways to solve this problem. This trains you to think strategically in all facets of your life and to remain persistent.
On sum, based on my sales experience beyond getting an inside knowledge of businesses, I became a better professional myself.
Life is about getting what you want, and sales skills can improve your life. Most people resist spelling out what they want, but those who know what they want and know how to ask for it are far more successful in all aspects of life. Sales is a procedure to create need, convert want into need and in life we follow the same Psychology.
When Generates a man is born with certain abilities and another acquires.
Also born with needs
Over time he has owned a few things and wants to own another things, whether to satisfy desire or an urgent need
And between desire and satisfaction many operations occur, including supply and demand and what is his offer and the demand will be invaluable
This is the simplest of sales operations
I would say selling is the most important skill in life, when talking to someone you are selling your idea and point of view in the first place that leads to more selling if that is a business conversation and so on and forth. Life is built on exchanges always and selling the the process of leading an exchange.
Sales is the economic engine that drives our economy forward. It's true. Without sales, life would cease to exist. In fact, every person who receives a pay check at work was the direct result from someone who sold something. Make sure you thank your fellow sales associate soon! So, you see nothing happens until someone sells something. We are all salesmen from the day we are born, but don't realize it. Selling is a naturally occurring condition.
From the time you were a kid and all through life, every second someone has or will try to persuade, convince, or influence you to take action. Sometimes the convincing, persuading and influencing occurs without our willingness to buy into what is being offered.
How many times did we make the wrong decision, not realizing that someone was trying to sell us something? Your parents, friends, spouse, teachers, relatives, co-workers, bosses, politicians, doctors, TV commercials, attorneys, etc. are examples of people who sell.
Just imagine if we were all taught this skill, how to sell ourselves through life, what a difference it would make to all of us… The unemployment numbers would go to zero because we would all be able to find that situation where we could create value for another human being and close that sale!
In fact your success in life is determined by your ability to sell yourself.
Agree with Mrs GHADA and Mr Rami
Learning sales kills and being successful should strengthen your capabilities in many social skills such communication, negotiation, patience ...etc
