What methods and means do you use to improve the quality of communication inside the company?

The following method are used in improving the quality of communication in a company:

1. Internal newsleter circulated periodically among company staff containing company's practices and developments.

2. Weekly briefs on company developments

3. Monthly meetings of middle and senior management.

4. Staff representation at board meetings.

5. An intranet system accessible to all staff giving information on company development updates.

6. Effective notice board, memorandum and email system.

To improve the quality of the corporate communications I have been using following methods:

Internal communications include:

  • The company’s mission statement
  • Employee manuals and handbooks
  • Employee newsletters, e-newsletters and e-mails
  • Information contained on the company intranet
  • Trainings and seminars
  • Unwritten communication such as corporate cultural norms
  • Communication given to shareholders (who may also be consumers)

External forms of communication can include the following:

  • Annual reports
  • Websites
  • Facebook, other social media
  • Mass media advertising and direct mail
  • Blogs
  • Brochures and printed sales materials
  • Promotional items
