Transit TIme = Time or days taken to reach from loading port / point to the discharge port /point

Free Time =  Penalty free (without penalty) time allowed by the carrier at the discharge point from the day of reaching

Time taken for travel i.e. if the mode of shipment is Sea & is coming from Germany to Qatar & the sailing time of vessel is 28 days then the transit time is 28 days. 

 

Free time is the time you / your agent is given by port for clearing the cargo / consignment, beyond which you pay demurrages.
