Yes . I agree with the term Supply chain becomes the Value chain. Following are the few reasons why I am thinking so.

1) We all know 65-70% of the total manufacturing cost goes into material cost. Hence invariably supply chain which controls from ordering of the material to producing the finished goods becomes more important in running business

2) Supply chain also plays important role in planning of the production, hence it controls the delivery of the finished product.

3) Supply chain also very important in achieving the desired quality of the finished product because it is the input material of the product which controls and plays important role in achieving the quality of Finished product

Hence Quality, Cost & Delivery are controlled by Supply Chain which can be Value Chain as Well.
