Instead of giving my personal view let me share my professional experience. In the Personnel or Human Resources Department I’ve mind mapped a total of72 processes according to the following categories:1. Processments (health insurance procedures and payment procedures)2. Integrated Evaluation Process (personal skills and objectives)3. Asset Management (juridical employment relationship, periodic management report, internal mobility, personal record)4. Health Safety at Work (health exams, work conditions evaluations)5. Time Management (holidays, leaves, absences)6. Training (training needs, training courses, training efficacy)
These6 features are interconnected allow the control of1.200 employees. Each of the features are related to a certain HR process, which was build according to ISO and whose objective always starts with the expression:
“Minimize the time to process (…)” and the possibilities are :
Absence leave
Overtime
Working student status
Etc.
The system is architected for maximum transparency, because in any occasion the employee can have access to the process situation and if having doubts can request information to the HR technician that is handling the process which is coded and has a starting and a current situation time stamp. Hence when an employee requests an information or makes a question about a certain process the answer relies on an average and standard deviation time to deliver the request made.
This favors the employers because of the transparency and accuracy of the information that can be delivered to the interest part, the employee.
