there are five steps to secure a home wireless network:
1- login to your wireless router
2-enable MAC filtering
3-enable encryption -
disable SSID broadcasting-4
5- install who's on my wifi
these are common used steps to secure your wireless network
step 1: WPA2
step 2: change default passwords
step 3: change default SSID name
step 4: device lists
step 5: turn off guest networking
Also, WPA2 + AES is stronger than WPA2 + TKIP
Disable WPS
To secure a wireless network we need to follow below steps;
1. Change the default login and password.
2.Password should be long and Alphanumeric with special characters.
3. Encryption should be WPA2.
4.Change of password on a regular interval.
5. Enable MAC Address Binding
6. Change the default SSID.
7. Disable the broadcast of SSID.
8. Keep on monitoring.
These are the least we can do to secure our wireless network.

don't forget to change password every amount of time and to monitor network bandwidth ( use wireshark )
you should encrypt the information you send over your wireless network, so that nearby attackers can’t eavesdrop on these communications. Encryption scrambles the information you send into a code so that it’s not accessible to others. Using encryption is the most effective way to secure your network from intruders.

STEP 3 : Disable traffic from Wireless vlan to inside network for guest access
STEP 4 : Enable certificate based authentication .
STEP 5 :Enable web filtering .

1. Change Passwords
2. Monitor Usage w.r.t. Mac Addresses
3. Check number of devices connected to your wireless device.
4. Whenever you are not using wireless its better to switch it off, All signals are hazardous, safety and health comes first.
