What’s the difference between Viruses and Worms ?

A Virus is a program that attacks programs. It can be attached to a Word or Excel file.  Each time the file is run, the virus runs too.  It attaches itself to other programs and continues to reproduce.

A Worm uses computer networks to replicate itself.  It searches for servers with security holes and copies itself there.  It then begins the search and replication process again.

الانترنت-الشبكة العنكبوتية : هي شبكة الإنترنت التي تعمل عليها الآن والتي يُسمح لك بالدخول عليها من أي مكان اي بشكل اخر فالإنترنت الخاص بمؤسسة ما عبارة عن إنترنت داخلي تم تفصيله ليكون ملائما لهذه المؤسسة ولكنه غير متصل بالعالم الخارجي إلا في نطاق محدد وذلك لإمكانية القيام بتحديد درجة اتصاله بالعالم الخارجي. كما يمكن للإنترنت أن يصل للإنترنت بدون أن يكون العكس أي من الإنترنت إلى الإنترنت

الانترنت: هي شبكة الانترنت الداخلية في مؤسسة أو شركة معينة يُسمح بالدخول عليها من أماكن معينة فقط أو ضمن كود معين وهي تعمل بواسطة الانترنت

الإنترنت-الشبكة العنكبوتية غير مملوك لأحد. أي شخص يمكنه الوصول إليه. يمكن الوصول إليه من أي مكان أو موقع. كما انه يحتوي على العديد من المواقع أو الصفحات المتضمنة معلومات غير لائقة

الانترنت

هو ملك المؤسسة التي تستضيفه. لا يمكن لأي شخص الوصول إليه إلا الذين سمح لهم بذلك. يعمل فقط في موقع واحد. يحتوي على المواضيع والمعلومات التي أنت توافق عليها.

A computer virus attaches itself to a program or file enabling it to spread from one computer to another, leaving infections as it travels. Like a human virus, a computer virus can range in severity: some may cause only mildly annoying effects while others can damage your hardware, software or files. Almost all viruses are attached to an executable file, which means the virus may exist on your computer but it actually cannot infect your computer unless you run or open the malicious program. It is important to note that a virus cannot be spread without a human action, (such as running an infected program) to keep it going. Because a virus is spread by human action people will unknowingly continue the spread of a computer virus by sharing infecting files or sending emails with viruses as attachments in the email.

 worm is similar to a virus by design and is considered to be a sub-class of a virus. Worms spread from computer to computer, but unlike a virus, it has the capability to travel without any human action. A worm takes advantage of file or information transport features on your system, which is what allows it to travel unaided.
